American Samoa HiSET® Requirements

The following policies apply to anyone taking the HiSET® exam in  American Samoa. When you schedule an appointment, you will need to confirm that you have read and understand these policies.

American Samoa Eligibility Requirements

To take the HiSET exam in American Samoa, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Age: You must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible to take the HiSET exam. If you are 17, you may be able to take the test. Contact your local test center for additional information.
  • Residency: You must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National or legal resident of American Samoa.
  • Test Preparation or Instruction: American Samoa has no test preparation or instruction requirements.
  • Practice Test: American Samoa has no practice test requirements.
  • Identification: You must present government-issued identification on test day at the HiSET test center. Outdated or expired identification will not be accepted. Acceptable forms of identification include:
    • driver’s license
    • valid passport
    • American Samoa ID that shows your name, address, date of birth, signature and photograph

Paper-based Test
