Wyoming HiSET® Requirements

The following policies apply to anyone taking the HiSET® exam in Wyoming. When you schedule an appointment, you will need to confirm that you have read and understand these policies.

Wyoming Eligibility Requirements

To take the HiSET exam in Wyoming, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Age: Anyone 18 years of age or older may test. An age waiver application is required for 16–17-year-olds. No one under 16 may test.
  • Residency: You do not have to be a resident of Wyoming to take the exam.
  • Test Preparation or Instruction: Test preparation or instruction is encouraged, but is not mandatory.
  • Practice Test: The practice test is mandatory only for 16–17-year-old age-waiver applicants. Contact your local ABE center for details.
  • Identification: You must present identification on test day at the HiSET test center. Acceptable forms of identification include:
    • current, unexpired government or accredited instructional institution-issued, unedited, unmodified/altered photo identification
    • foreign consulate ID
    • border crossing cards

Paper-based Test
