Admin Fees: Guam collects an annual one-time admin fee of $10 at the time you book your first test in a calendar year. For example, if a test taker booked 3 of her 5 subtests between November and December of 2023, she would pay an annual admin fee of $10 on her first booked test in November, but no admin fee on any of the other subtests booked before the end of December. If she then booked her 4th and 5th subtests in January of 2024, she would be required to pay the $10 annual fee again for the new year at the time she booked her 4th test, but would not pay any additional admin fees for the remainder of the calendar year.

Retesting

What to know: HiSET test takers may take each subtest a maximum of three (3) times in a calendar year.

How it works: If you take your first official HiSET subtest in the month of January and then take two retakes at a test center in the months of February and March, you would not be permitted to take that subtest again until the next calendar year starting in January, and you would then need to pay the full test price.

What it costs: You may retake each subtest two times over the 12 months following your first attempt by paying only the test center fee (noted above for each in-person subtest) or the at-home online proctor fee ($17.50 for each at-home subtest).
